This is our first family picture and Matt and Alex are having a telepathic conversation.. I guess that Alex is saying thanks for the burping, changing diapers, and feeding.. Maybe he is saying sorry for poop.. Who knows.. It looks like they are having serious conversation. Matt is the best at burping him!  Alex enjoyed his first outdoor dinner on a nice sunny day with his grandparents. Today grandma and grandpa went to back to Kalamazoo. I think Alex will miss grandma a lot. Without grandma, we might have had a very  tough time the first couple of weeks. I will never forget her kindness!!

Alex is 9 days old today. He was a 10 pounds baby!! My milk couldn’t catch up to his appetite so I am giving him little bit of formula by finger feeding. Then, of course he needs to do burp. I love his burping face, looks like a monkey man 🙂  And then he is having a good relaxing time before his workout called tummy time. Our pediatrician suggested us to give him 1 or 2 minutes of tummy time to build up his neck strength. Of course, he doesn’t like it, but I love to watch him to try to hold his neck up. Today, grandpa visited us and gave the first hug to Alex. Grandpa said he will teach math, games, and some ball game and tell stories… I can’t wait to see that time…..   🙂

Alexander Kim Petro
Born June 23, 2010, 7:14 am at Alma hospital.
He was 10 pounds and 21.75 inches long.

This year our roses are so wonderful. Red, pink, orange… all of them are blooming. Each day, there is a new blossom.  We planted lettuces, chili peppers, and tomatoes this year. In particular, the lettuces looks so healthy. Um~~ pretty soon, we will taste them as salad, wrap, and lettuce kim-chi 🙂

I am over 37 weeks. I needed a hair cut,but I felt a little uncomfortable going to the hair shop with this huge belly. Matt volunteered to cut my hair. I was little nervous since this was really his first hair cut. I kept saying to him not to  cut too short.. It turns out that he has pretty good skill. I look younger, don’t I? Don’t mind a the few long hairs here and there. They must have been hiding behind my ears when he trimmed them. 🙂 Well~~ it’s converging to a real hair cut.

Mom, Dad,  Andrea and baby John visited us for my baby shower  May 22, 2010. It was first time to see John, who is nearly 3 months old. Wow~~, he is a strong boy. He smiled a lot and is very talkative. You may enjoy his smile, movements and sneezing from the above video. Kay and Talee showed a little curiosity to John, but it seems to me they realized soon that he is out of their limit. Matt and I had a really good time with John. I am missing the little guy 🙂

We had a good baby shower at En-bing’s house. I have never been to a baby shower so I was curious what it would be like. We played some games from Leela and had delicious Indian snacks and deserts. It was really fun!!!
