This weekend we visited relatives in Lancaster, PA. We were also joined by cousin Isaac, who flew in from CA. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Yeon, Uncle Matt, and cousin Alex and saw many other extended family members.
Trip to Michigan
We traveled to MI over the July 4th week. The 12 hour drive went surprisingly well. The temps were in the 100s for most of the week, so we spent lots of time in the kiddie pool, both children and adults. Julia is also pulling up now, and I’ve included a few recent photos of her standing at the couch. I think she really delights in this new capability.
Fun in the Sun
This weekend we played in our kiddie pool for the first time. Both kids enjoyed it, John loved the watering can, bringing his trucks into the pool, and generally playing with the hose. I also took a few pictures inside of John looking at a picture album of him and Julia. He calls it the “Christmas Tree Book” because it contains pictures of last Christmas.
Truck Touch and Father’s Day
This weekend we went to the DC Truck Touch with grandma and Mike and Caroline. John enjoyed many trucks – fire trucks, excavators, street sweepers, the helicopter, cement mixer, garbage trucks, etc. We swam in the afternoon at a nearby pool on Saturday. On Sunday we went out for brunch for Father’s Day, then went to the youth garden at the arboretum and John got to dig in the dirt and play with a hose (always a highlight).
